1. Who We Are
Limere is operated by Reserve Labs ("Reserve Labs," "we," "us" or "our"). The company responsible for your personal data under this Privacy Policy (the "data controller") is:
Reserve Labs
No. 421, Songshan Rd., Xinyi Dist., Taipei City 110, Taiwan
If you have any questions about privacy or wish to exercise your rights, contact us by email at hello@rsrvlabs.com.
2. Where This Privacy Policy Applies
2.1Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Limere mobile application (the "App"), the limere.app website (the "Website") and any other services Reserve Labs operates in connection with Limere. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as the "Service" in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, use, retain and share your information through the Service. If a particular service has its own privacy policy, that policy, and not this Privacy Policy, applies to that service. The "Terms of Service" means the Limere Terms of Service that govern the Service.
2.2Acceptance
You may open and read this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service before you sign in or create an account. By signing in, creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you accept the versions of both documents in effect at that time. The App does not present a separate consent checkbox or confirmation window. If you do not accept them, do not sign in to or use the Service.
3. Data We Collect
The Service cannot work for you without some basic information, such as your profile details and who you would like to meet. We also collect information generated when you use the Service, and information from third parties, such as when you sign in with a third-party account. The details are set out below.
3.1Data You Give Us
You provide us with certain information when you use the Service. This includes:
- Account data: your email address, your sign-in and verification status, and the account identifier we use to recognize you.
- Age: when you sign up, we ask for your date of birth to confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We store your year of birth.
- Profile and photos: your display name, profile photo, One-liner and any other fields you choose to complete. You may also create more than one identity under the same account, each with its own name, photos and content. To add photos, you must allow us to access your camera or photo library.
- Activities: the activities you create or join, their times and places, and your participation status in them.
- Contacting us: when you contact us, we collect the information you provide in that exchange.
3.2Data We Receive from Others
In addition to the information you provide to us directly, we receive information about you from others, including:
- Other users: other users may provide information about you as they use the Service, for example when they interact with you or submit a report involving you.
- Third-party accounts: if you decide to sign in to the App or the Website with a third-party account (such as Apple or Google), we receive from that service the basic information needed to sign you in.
3.3Data Generated or Collected When You Use the Service
Using the Service generates technical information, such as which features you used, how you used them and the devices you use to access the Service. This includes:
- Usage data: what you do in the App and which screens you open, and your interactions with other users (such as who you came across in person, likes and matches, chats, blocks and reports), together with records of the related actions.
- Device data: your device and operating system, App version, the device identifier needed for push notifications, which permissions you have granted, and when and how errors or crashes occur.
- Location data: we process your location when you create an activity with a place, confirm that you are at an activity, or use other location-based features.
3.4Data You Give Us on the Website, and Cookies
When you use the Website, we collect the information you choose to submit there, such as what you fill in when you join the waitlist, apply to become a Limere partner, sign in to a partner account, create or manage activities, or report a problem to us (for example your email address, a nickname, details about your venue or activity, and any questions you choose to answer). We and our service providers may also use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language), keep the Website secure and understand how the Website is used. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly if you do.
3.5Data That May Be Considered Sensitive
Some profile information you choose to provide, such as your gender and who you would like to meet, may be considered "special" or "sensitive" personal data in certain jurisdictions because it may relate to sexual orientation. If you choose to provide this data, you explicitly consent to us using it as laid out in this Privacy Policy. You may change it in the App at any time, or contact us as set out in Section 12 to withdraw your consent. If you withdraw it, some features (such as introductions and matching) may not be available.
3.6If You Do Not Provide Data
Some information, such as your account data and date of birth, is required to use the Service. If you do not provide it, we cannot provide the Service to you. For example, if we do not have your date of birth and cannot confirm that you are at least 18 years old, we cannot provide the Service to you. If you do not provide other information, some features may not work properly.
4. How We Use Your Data
The main reason we use your information is to provide and improve the Service. We also use your information to keep you and other users safe.
4.1Purposes

- Assist law enforcement
4.2Legal Bases
To process your information as described in this Privacy Policy, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Provide our Service to you: we process your information for purposes (A) and (B) above to perform the contract you have with us (the Terms of Service). For example, we use your information to maintain your account and profile, make it viewable to other users, and provide introductions and matches.
- Legitimate interests: we process your information for purposes (C), (D), (E) and (F) above based on our legitimate interests. For example, we analyze how users use the Service to improve our products, promote our own products and services, and process information to help keep our users safe.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations: we process your information for purpose (G) above where it is necessary for us to comply with applicable laws and regulations, for example to respond to valid requests from authorities.
- Vital interests: where necessary to protect the life, body or health of you or another person.
- Consent: if you choose to provide us with information that may be considered "special" or "sensitive" in some jurisdictions, such as your gender or who you would like to meet, you consent to our processing of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You may change that information in the App, or withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us as set out in Section 12.
4.3No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell your personal data.
5. How We Share Data
Since the purpose of the Service is to help people meet in real life, your information is mainly shared with other users. We also share information with service providers who help us operate the Service and, in some cases, disclose it for legal and related reasons.
5.1With Other Users
When you voluntarily disclose information on the Service (including your profile), that information is shared with other users. Please be careful with your information and make sure that the content you share is content you are comfortable with others seeing.
Your name, photos and One-liner are visible to users you cross paths with or match with. Other fields follow this rule: you can see a field on another user's profile only if you have completed that field yourself, and fields you leave blank are also hidden from you on other users' profiles. A conversation is visible only to the two users in it.
When you enter an activity, you choose whether to be Visible or enter as a ghost for that activity. You make this choice when you enter.
Blocking is permanent. Once you block a user, that user will not appear in your Nearby list, neither of you can message the other, any existing match is removed, and you cannot unblock that user in the Service. If you report a user, we see the report, and the reported user is not told who made it.
5.2With Our Service Providers
We work with other companies to help us operate and improve the Service. These providers act on our instructions, are bound by contract and security requirements, and process information only as needed to provide the Service. They include:
- Supabase: accounts, database and file storage.
- Google Firebase: product analytics (Firebase Analytics) and crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics).
- Apple: App distribution, push notifications and other necessary platform services.
5.3When Required by Law
We may disclose your information if reasonably necessary: (i) to comply with a legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, a government or law enforcement investigation or other legal requirements; (ii) to assist in the prevention or detection of crime (subject in each case to applicable law); or (iii) to protect the safety of any person.
5.4To Enforce Legal Rights
We may also share information: (i) if disclosure would mitigate our liability in an actual or threatened lawsuit; (ii) as necessary to protect our legal rights and the legal rights of our users, business partners or other interested parties; (iii) to enforce our agreements with you; and (iv) to investigate, prevent or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoing.
5.5Corporate Transactions
We may transfer your information if we are involved, whether in whole or in part, in a merger, sale, acquisition, investment, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy or other change of ownership or control, and the recipient will continue to process it within the scope of this Privacy Policy.
6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
The sharing of information described in Section 5 involves cross-border data transfers. Because we provide the Service in more than one country or region, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries or regions other than where you live (such as Taiwan, Singapore, the United States, and wherever our service providers operate). These jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those where you live, and some may not offer the same level of protection. When we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards under applicable law. These transfers are necessary to provide the Service, and by using the Service you acknowledge and agree to them.
7. Your Rights and Choices
We want you to be in control of your information, so we want to remind you of the following options and tools available to you.
7.1Tools in the Service
In the App, you can choose whether to show each field, enter an activity as a ghost, leave an activity, block or report any user, and delete your account. By using the Service you agree to the data collection described in this Privacy Policy, and the App has no separate off switch for it.
7.2Device Permissions
Mobile platforms have permission systems for specific types of device data and notifications, such as the camera, photo library, location services and push notifications. You can change the settings on your device to consent to or oppose the collection or processing of the corresponding information or the display of the corresponding notifications. If you do, some features of the Service may not work fully.
7.3Uninstall
You can stop all information collection by the App by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process for your device. Uninstalling the App does not delete your account. To delete your account, use the corresponding feature in the App.
7.4Removing Photos and Deleting Your Account
You may remove individual photos in the App at any time, and you may delete your entire account directly in the App, from the Me tab. Once you delete it, your account is deactivated immediately, you can no longer sign in, and you no longer appear in other users' Apps. We delete the rest of your data within a reasonable period, except data we must keep under Section 8. If you deleted your account by mistake, contact hello@rsrvlabs.com as soon as possible, and we will help where the data still exists.
If an activity you created has not ended (including one that has not started), you must end or leave it before you can delete your account, so that the activity is not left without a host. This does not apply if you only take part in another user's activity.
7.5Your Privacy Rights
We also want you to be aware of your privacy rights. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the following rights:
- Access: to access and obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you and, in certain cases, to receive it in a portable format (data portability).
- Correction: to correct or supplement your personal data. You can usually edit your profile directly in the App.
- Deletion: to ask us to delete or destroy the personal data we hold about you.
- Objection and restriction: to object to certain processing, or to ask us to restrict its use.
- Withdrawal of consent: to withdraw consent you have given at any time.
- Complaint: to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
If you live in Taiwan, under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act you may request to look up or review your personal data, obtain a copy of it, supplement or correct it, stop its collection, processing or use, and delete it. If you live in Thailand, you have the rights above under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and may lodge a complaint with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee. In certain countries, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how we process your personal data.
7.6How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise these rights, contact us by email at hello@rsrvlabs.com. For your protection and the protection of all our users, we may ask you for information to verify your identity before we can answer your request. We will respond within a reasonable time. Please keep in mind that we may reject a request, including if we are unable to verify your identity, if the request is unlawful or invalid, or if it may infringe on trade secrets, intellectual property, privacy or other rights of someone else. Where the law requires otherwise or it is necessary to keep the Service safe, we will explain why we cannot fulfil a request. We may also be unable to accommodate certain requests to object to or restrict the processing of personal data, notably where those requests would not allow us to provide the Service to you.
8. How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in Section 4 and as permitted by applicable law, and we set different retention and deletion practices depending on the nature of the information, the risks involved and our operational needs. Some content (such as short-lived interaction records you leave in the Service) is deleted after a shorter period, and these periods may change as the product evolves.
If you decide to stop using the Service, you can delete your account and other users will no longer see your profile. Data processed by third-party service providers (such as usage analytics and crash diagnostics) is retained for a period under each provider's own policy and then deleted.
To protect the safety of our users, reports, restriction records and necessary evidence are retained as needed for safety, appeals, audits and legal obligations, and are not deleted when the reported user deletes their account. We also retain information based on our legitimate interest where there is an outstanding or potential issue, claim or dispute requiring us to keep it, in particular if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request asking us to preserve data.
Please note that messages already delivered may remain in the conversation, shown as from a "Deleted user." Backups and service providers' systems may also need a reasonable period to complete their scheduled deletion.
9. How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method can guarantee absolute security. If an incident occurs that the law requires us to report, we will handle it as the law requires.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority where they live, whichever is higher, consistent with the age requirement in the Terms of Service. The App is also rated 18+ on the App Store. We do not permit individuals under 18 to use the Service, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and handle that person's data under the applicable procedures. If you suspect that a user is under 18, please use the reporting mechanism available in the Service, or contact us by email at hello@rsrvlabs.com.
11. Privacy Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the product, the law or our operations change. This page shows the version number and effective date, and earlier versions are kept where anyone can read them. We will notify you of material changes in a reasonable manner, and they apply from the effective date we announce. If you continue to use the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
12. How to Contact Us
12.1Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, or wish to make a request or complaint about your data rights or privacy, contact us by email at hello@rsrvlabs.com.
12.2Language Versions
This Privacy Policy may be available in several languages. In the event there is a discrepancy between this English language version and any other language version, the Traditional Chinese version shall prevail, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
